Hello!

Welcome to my site. I take photos, and learn life lessons. I hope you are inspired by what you find.

Ezra 7:10

“Now Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the LORD, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.”

Not Afraid to Stare You Down Until You Blink...

It’s everything I see,
Every part of me.
Gonna get what I deserve,
I got nerve!

Athletes… True athletes are always striving to be better. They don’t stop. They keep training. They keep playing. They are never satisfied. They dig deep when it’s needed. They elevate their play when the time calls for it. They elevate their teammates. They strive to learn every little thing they can from their coach. Something deep inside of them won’t let them ever give up.

I love watching true athletes perform. Fort Osage has several true athletes. Sure, we have our fair share of players as well, but watching the true athletes apply their trade is something special. Through the years I’ve been able to photograph some of the moments where true athletes took control and led their teams to some great things. I’ve also had the opportunity to watch some true athletes give everything they had, only to come just short.

Fort Osage’s Courtwarming night was a night where I got to witness some true athletes compete, even though the outcome wasn’t in their favor. I could see it in their faces. They would be back, and they would learn from this moment. And they both did. The next week they played Raytown, and they both won.

All of the traits that make up true athletes, also make up the kind of people that GOD wants us to be. Ones that will lift their teammates up. Ones that will never stop trying to be better. Ones that will look to HIM as our COACH to learn from. LORD help me to be a true athlete for YOU.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize.  Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable crown.  So I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air.  Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
