In Every Season...
In every moment.
Last fall, Fort Osage high school demolished one of the last grass football fields in the Kansas City area. They did this to install a new track and turf field. The work went extremely well and the new complex is open for the first days of school.
I coach boys soccer at Fort Osage, and we had the honor of playing the first "game" ever on the new turf. On August 11, 2018 we held our Red/White and Alumni Games. It was an amazing experience. It was so much fun watching our boys do their thing on turf. Being first was a great feeling!
I'm reminded however about the importance of who is first in my life. Too often I find myself putting myself first, or my job first, sometimes my family first. Not saying those things in themselves are bad, but GOD should be first! I need to spend time every day reminding myself that GOD needs to come first.
But seek first the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.
He who has the bride is the groom. But the groom’s friend, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine is complete. HE must increase, but I must decrease.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about HIM in all your ways, and HE will guide you on the right paths
I couldn't let this chance go by without taking the very first images of the turf being used in a game. Enjoy!
