Lead Me With Strong Hands...
Last night (June 3rd), I was doing some cleaning in my bedroom when I came across a fathers day card from my daughter Talia that brought back a flood of memories. She is such a wonderful young lady, and the poem that she included with the card was the reminder I was needing to refocus my life on what was important.
“These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
A fathers' job is to lead his family. To guide them into making Godly choices. To be there when they need me, not only working so they can have nice stuff. I've done too much working in the last several years and have missed so many of my kids activities. (Just this weekend I missed all of my son's baseball games due to an event I was part of)
Here's the poem:
I love my family so much, and need to remember my priorities. Here are some images I looked back through as I remembered the great times I was a part of. Lord, help me to focus more on my family, and make many more memories with them.
