Hello!

Welcome to my site. I take photos, and learn life lessons. I hope you are inspired by what you find.

Ezra 7:10

“Now Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the LORD, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.”

When you fall, stand up...

And when you break, stand tough

And when they say, you can't

You say I can, I can

Tuesday, January 16.  Just another day... just another basketball game... except it wasn't.

Fort Osage was playing a double header against the Winnetonka Griffins.  The varsity girls played first, followed by the varsity boys.  Both JV teams played as well.  Fort Osage would win all four games, but that wasn't the important story.

Both the girls team and the guys team would be returning seniors to the lineup tonight.  Seniors that had missed almost the entire season due to injury.  It was a great night to be an Indian.  Here are some of the images I was able to capture.

Ally Young was one of the major inspirations of the night. After just just a couple minutes into the first game, she tore her ACL. This was her first time she was playing at Fort Osage after completing her rehab. You should have heard the roar from the crowd when she scored this lay-up!

Cam Miller was the leading scorer for the Lady Indians. She had fifteen points, and played some great defense. When your seniors lead by their example, good things happen.

Rachel Buntin had a great game also, scoring nine points. If she had moved back two inches on this shot... she could have had ten!

Alecia Monday had a great game. She scored eight points, and did a great job running the show much of the time.

Freshman Kiyley Flowers didn't have her best offensive game, from a point perspective (only four points), but she ran the offense and helped everyone else to be successful. That is what a star player is suppose to do, make everyone else better. I'm excited to watch more from her in the future.

During halftime of the girls game, the boys team came out and put on a real show. All of the fancy dunking they could do amazes me. This show, in itself is worth the admission fee!

The eruption from the crowd as Levi Sage returned from shoulder surgery to score a layup with 6.5 seconds remaining to win the game for the Indians was deafening. What an incredible first game back for him! I wish this was actually that made basket, but I was too excited myself to even get a picture of that moment. This lay-up was from earlier in the game.

Dez Griswold is the point guard for the team. He finished the game with a team leading sixteen points, including the two from this lay-up.

Cahleel Smith is an exciting player to watch. Always playing hard. Here he is on a breakaway scoring two of his six points.

Ty Baker finished the game with seven points, and was a constant menace on the boards, always fighting down low for the rebounds.

I love the defense that our boys team plays with. Here is Xavier Kahube playing some of that great defense as the Indians applied the full court press. Xavier also finished the game with fourteen points.

Tristan Turner drives the lane and scores two of his three points.
