Hello!

Welcome to my site. I take photos, and learn life lessons. I hope you are inspired by what you find.

Ezra 7:10

“Now Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the LORD, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.”

Dream Small

Dream Small

Don't buy the lie you've gotta do it all
Just let Jesus use you where you are
One day at a time

Live well
Loving God and others as yourself
Find little ways where only you can help
With His great love
A tiny rock can make a giant fall
Dream small

Song: Dream Small by Josh Wilson

I had a question, but I was stuck. I had no clue what topic to write this blog about. I had done a photo shoot with my daughter Talia, but couldn’t think of how to write about it. There was nothing left for me to do, but ask for help. So then I asked Talia what her favorite BIBLE story was.

I’m not usually one that is willing to ask for help, but it was needed at this moment.... I often find it striking how GOD can use areas of weakness to lead us to where we need to be. Talia responded to me that her favorite BIBLE story is the story of Joseph. I went back and looked over the story, and found many inspirations. Similar to me, many of the characters in the story of Joseph had to end up asking for help. They had dreams that they couldn’t find meanings to. When they asked Joseph for help, they found the answers they were seeking (even though not all of them were good). I had my answer as well, and thanks to Talia, not only for the pictures, but also the lessons to share with you.

Here is the link to the full story of Joseph for those interested in reading it as well. Genesis 37-50 Just like most of the last few blogs, I found three lessons to focus on. Three major points to consider. Three areas of study that I needed this week. Three skills that I need to work on, and since I need them, others probably do also. So here they are, in no particular order.

1. Dream Small (or Big)

Dreams are a prominent theme in the story of Joseph. He had them, Pharaoh had them, and Pharoah’s servants had them. It is interesting that no matter the dream, searching for meaning in it was something that everyone did. When we have dreams, we need to remember to search for meaning as well. GOD seems to be a big fan of dreams. If HE chose dreams to speak to his people in the past, why not now? I challenge you next time you have a dream, search for GODLY meaning in it, perhaps it can change your life!

Numbers 12:6

HE said: “Listen to what I say: If there is a prophet among you from the LORD, I make MYSELF known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a DREAM.”

2.) Integrity

Joseph was hated by family. He was sold into slavery. A false accusation of rape led to him spending time in prison. After all the times he helped others, they quickly forgot about him. Life’s circumstances aren’t always fair. They can go bad very quickly. GOD, however, is constant. He will always be there, and always have expectations of us. We need to remember to live to please GOD, and not let circumstances affect our thoughts, choices, or actions. Be a person of integrity.

Proverbs 10:9

The one who lives with INTEGRITY lives securely, but whoever perverts his ways will be found out.

3.) Forgive

After all the Joseph’s family had put him through, it could have been very easy for him to wash his hands of them when they needed his help. That is not what he did though. He chose forgiveness instead. GOD could have wiped his hands with us. We have done much worse to HIM than what Joseph’s family did to him. Forgiveness is a tough skill to learn, but one that is vital to the lives of CHRISTIANS. What a powerful lesson we can learn from this example. GOD expects us to share the forgiveness that HE has given to us, just like Joseph did.

Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you FORGIVE people their wrongdoing, your heavenly FATHER will FORGIVE you as well. But if you don’t FORGIVE people, your FATHER will not FORGIVE your wrongdoing."

Now that you’ve made it this far, enjoy some images of my beautiful, big dreaming, person of integrity who forgives me more than I deserve. Talia!
